'Catcher in the Rye' Author J.D. Salinger Dies

    I heard that yesterday. :(


    I can't say I actually liked Catcher in the Rye, but he certainly made his mark.

    Catcher in The Rye was, at the time, a very thought provoking and avant-garde look at how youth particularly, often think he 'system' sucks and that that it should somehow change to suit their concepts of idealism. The mental health issues play their cards as well.

    Never did particularly relate to that kind of thinking. Aspects of society are corrupt, controlling and wicked. Other aspects are good, noble and constructive. Guess you'll get whatever you are looking for.
