Cats can be strange creatures...

I got home from work today and my wireless internet connection on my computer wasn't working.

My wife's is working fine, modem and router seem to be working properly... what could it be? I pull the box out from under the desk and notice that the antenna from the linksys card is missing -- gone completely! Wha??!?

I had another card in a box, so I changed it out and all is working fine, but had no idea what had happened to the antenna. A while later, I walked in the bedroom and find my cat on the floor in the sun with a fress "kill" between her paws like some trophy -- my antenna!

Maybe I haven't been paying enough attention to her lately

The PC is going in the desk like it should have been now.


On side note, I just finished my last day at work -- I start with the new lab on Monday!

When we go out our dog likes to find our possessions he deems important to us. He will gentle get them in his mouth (he's a chocolate lab, so very gentle) and take them to his corner of the living room. He's found a new "treasured possession" of ours recently......took us ages to locate the TV remote the other day

 

i used to have a dog that would steal my underware! he would OPEN my dresser drawer and empty all the 'smalls' out and presumably pick the one he wanted. then he would simply walk around with it in his mouth, or lay snuggled to it. gross but funny.

 

Hehe...funny you should say that. Shortly after I moved in with my newly-wed husband and my 19 year old step son, the dog "retrieved" my bra from the bedroom and left it in the middle of the living room. It was my step son who came home first and found it. He was beginning to think his Dad had married a rather uninhibited Brit!! (Is there such a thing? )

 

You laugh at that, my mouse has gone missing, wireless ones aren't as easy to keep track of as wired ones. Always ends up by the cat's bed!

 

hehe...actually they are very handy. I have a wireless trackball...great to take with you when you go to work so your son can't loaf around on the PC all day when he should be at school

 

In fairness to my cat, it is more likely that I broke the antenna off last night moving things around -- but the story is funnier not knowing.

I was telling a friend (who owns two dogs) about the situation a little while ago and he asked what I did the discipline Laney (our cat)... I just laughed. "Discipline a cat"... now that's funny!

 

Oh a disciplined cat will definately get even
Dont put it past him of taking the attenna lol.

Hey...if I have to get my lazy butt out of bed to go earn the money to send him to school, then he can get out of freaking bed too to go get the education I pay for

 

Going back to the original thread subject, here's a pic of 5 of our 7 cats. It was raining hard so they all lined up at the front of the house on piece of wood under the porch to save getting their feet wet. Meet Bear, Scooty, Brat, Ronnie and Cheech. Pumpkin and Chewy were in the dog kennel keeping dry!
