CCleaner dialog balloons

    I have attached two screen shots of pop-up dialog 'balloons' from CCleaner. Can anyone shed some light on this? It's not a huge deal, just curious....

    I assume they mean what they say. ;) Did you run chkdsk and did you find any corrupt files? Bazza

    I haven't had much luck with repair installs, I usually use a backup or do an OS reinstall. Uninstall and reinstall of CCleaner may be the easy answer, or run the portable from a usb stick, external drive. That is if chkdsk c:/r from a command prompt does not do the trick.

    Ccleaner in those screenshots seems to be run from internet temp folder! download and save to say destop then install and run CCleaner, also make sure account that is running CCleaner has admin rights.

    But also this could be as a reapir install was done and CCLeaner doesnt pick up the directory structure well, you should manually delete that location listed in 1st screenshot then try CCleaner again.

    The screen shots were from 2 different PCs, and CCleaner had been installed using v2.13 from MG. I think what the messages are saying, is not that CCleaner.exe is corrupt, but that CCleaner.exe has detected a corrupt file. It's been a few days since I started this thread, and my memory is like old swiss cheese: full of holes and it stinks. So I don't really remember what happened, but I'm pretty sure I did run chkdsk and that everything turned out more or less OK. It was just strange that I had never seen those particular balloons before, then I saw 2 in an hour....
