CD Auto install shutdown

Auto install shutdown no errors. it just shuts down on any install. W-XP Pro SP2

 

So, you are saying that whenever you insert a cd, the auto install shuts your computer down?

 

You should tell us about your computer system and which case made your computer to be shut down ?

 

Win update caused my sys to lock up. My only way out was to reload W-XP Pro SP2, no rebuild or anything, just overlay. Now my MSO 2003 does not work. "the operating system is not presently configured run this application" error comes up. I can't repair or reload it. I feel it is the win install 3.1 but the patch does nothing for me when I run it. I have been building PC's for 15 years and I am stumped. Looking for little tid bits of help or more.
