cd burner info

    well i have a cd burner built in with my computer and i went to burn a cd and it says there is no burner what the hell do i do.......

    Are you sure you have cd burner??
    Some info on your pc would help.
    Brand & model etc.
    What OS are you running.

    well yeah i have a cd burner it use to work...it says that its not instulled the brand is hp cd-writer plus...and the rest i dont know what that means....help me

    Can you be more specific?
    Is it recognized in Bios & windows and just dont work.
    Any error messages?
    IT's possible Burner is fried and is time for new one.
