When I first purchased my PC it was able to recognise Blank CDs and I was able to transfer files from the PC onto a CD such as music, word documents, pictures etc. Well a couple of months ago I inserted a Blank CD and it just stopped working all of a sudden. I've tried many top brand CDs such as Sony, Mitsubishi, JVC etc and still it won't recognise them.

It only has this problem with "BLANK" CD's, as it recognises Games, Music CDs etc perfectly.

Your software/drivers for your cd-burner more than likely became outdated (possibly trial version?) or incompatible with your operating system. Did you update to service pack 2 about the time it stopped working? Try going to the site for your cd-burning software (ie: roxio, whatever) and look for updates to download.
