Well it does read it whenever I decide to open up my tower and replug it in, but only for that time. What happened is when I got a new hard drive I was trying to transfer files to the newer hard drive and for some reason I made it to drive :F and thats where my cd drive was located. Eventually I figured out how to get my new hard drive to F and my cd drive to a different drive, but now cd drive only works if i unplug and replug. I've tried the hkcontrolsystems, but I only had one of the other lower or upper filters, this I did months ago, but I know for certain I did not have both. I deleted it, samething, just now there is no filters at all. I appreciate any help at all, thanks for your time. I shouldn't even of bothered changing or transfering data from drive to drive, oh well you live and you learn.

When does it stop working again? When you shut down?
I'm wondering if you're still having a problem with your drive assignments. You might try giving the hard drive a C:, and make the CD drive D:.

You seem to have both your second hard drive and your CD drive assigned to F:. Try changing the CD drive to D: (or if that's not available, use some other letter, like P:..
