CD-ROM Tray came out

    Does anyone know how to put a CD-ROM tray back in? I was fixing this computer and found that the tray was stuck. If I pull the tray, it comes out completly. When I put the tray back into the drive it does not open. Please help. I am stumped.

    THis is a screw driver job sadly.. I have never opened a drive up, i am sure others have here..

    The gear in the drive could be stripped and if not the it is possible the motor for the tray could be damaged pulling the tray on a cd rom drive causes damage to several components on the drive. if the drive is newer I would recommend trying the manufacturer for replacement if you open the drive up it voids that option completely.
