CD-RW into Audio CD Player?

    Tech query - Burned mp3 onto CD-RW as an Audio disc. It will not play in an ordinary Audio CD player. Why does the CD-R work? Is there a work around, it has to be an Audio CD player and the info is only read once and then not required. My carbon foot print is big enough.:)
