Cdex Virus

I downloaded the cdex install program, cdex-2.24.exe, from a major geeks download site, before running I scanned it with comodo and it came back with a virus fail for ApplicUnwnt@0
posts indicate it is a comodo specific find.
trying to decide if I should install it anyway, I have used cdex before and it was a great product.
there have been some comodo scans in the past that have turned up potential threats that were basically ok

and to let folks here at major geeks that the cdex download has this potential issue

has anybody else scanned the download with another virus detection program?

 

Or install VLC player that's downloaded and used by millions?

thanks for the replies, I would gladly use VLC but some reason it is not recognizing my dvd drive, since a number of other apps see it, it would appear not to be the drive itself, but some weird thing in the usually realiable VLC. I haven't seen anything in VLC to try and change in respect to it not seeing the drive.
if this continues to be the case I have tried a few other burners, like EAC and FreeAudioCDToMP3Converter_1.3.12.1228_o, but they either don't have or can't seem to connect to the cddb. Of course I want the track name, etc in the burned mp3. I tried a suggested cdex cddb alternative, submit@gnudb.org, but that did not work either. if someone has a burner suggestion that has track id info in the output and has been found to work, please let me know, thanks
