My motherboard failed and I got a new one but they did not put works back on my computer. I need a cd to put works back on my computer.

Unfortunately, sounds like you need to purchase it. Unless you have a legit product key and can find someone with the right version.

These days, it makes more sense to go with Office for a few more bucks if you need MS specific features, or get Open Office for free if you do not.

 

You have the choice of wither going here and paying $39.95 to buy it again (link) or you could speak to the computer repairers and see what they say.

EDIT: Or, as Adrynalyne said, you could get OpenOffice, which is a free alternative to Microsoft Office (the full version of works) (link)

 

Do you still have the install disk? If so the key should be with it.
