CDG file

Hi,
I am still new with this forum. I came accross some CDG files and realized that it is a Karaoke CD+G File. Can someone tell me what softwares can run this? Thanks.

I am not familiar with CDG files, so I Googled "CDG file" and hoped for the best. Here is information on what I could find.

Karaoke-Tutor has an explanation on the file and has sections on their site regarding the creation of CDG files and the playback of MP3+G files. Apparently, "CDG file" can refer to a few different things, such as simply a file with the lyrics and timings or a full fledged audio+lyrics+timing file. Without more information, I can't say for sure exactly which one you have encountered.

Karaoke-Tutor links to Karaoke Softshop, which seems to also have some information and software available, though their site appears to be mostly "for profit". I wouldn't really trust this site, but you are free to look at it for information if you wish.

Opera Karaoke seems to be a good resource. Their FAQ page points out Karaoke Builder and their FREE CD+G Player. This would probably be helpful to you!

I found a Winamp plugin to display karaoke lyrics from CDG files, but it expects an accompanying MP3 file of the same name, so it is another type of "CDG file" (I don't know which type you have).
