CDRW Registry Problem

Good Day All -
We have a Win XP PC with a problem CD-RW. Uninstalled device, but window cannot start device due to incomplete or damaged registry(code 19). Can someone point me in the right direction to edit registry or? .

Thanks for the help CK, however that particular article doesn't seem to apply to Win XP.

and it may turned out to be due to a malicious spyware.....

run ad-aware lately !!!

Glad to hear that you got it fixed. For the rest of us that might run into a similar problem -- can you provide a link to the page that fixed your problem, or tell us what you had to do to make it right?
