Cds Broke Many Times!

Hi! I had some problems with CDs breaking on me. For some reason, even though they were formatted as Live System, Windows 10 started giving entries for On CD and To Be Written to CD, and I am no longer able to write to the CDs. I can still read the information on them, though. At first, I simply copied the contents to another CD and trashed the old CD. The last time, I just copied the CD's contents to my SSD drive. This happened on two CD drives on two different win10/64 laptops. Is there a way to fix and prevent this?

 

I'm already using them.

 

No. I'm adding new data to already-formatted discs.

 

No. I format them once and then later add information to them.

 

Move on too Pendrives if you can

 

if not Image the disc to your HD first then try another

 

I can use flash drives. I copied the contents of the last CD that broke on me to my SSD drive. Before that, I copied the contents of the broken CDs to the SSD drive then moved the information to new CDs.

 

RW's are not the best thing to use if you want it to act like a hard drive. Get a DVD-Ram disk if you can find one, (ebay), and make sure your burner is able to burn to it for best results. They last way longer than RW's too.
