CFGRM32.dll was not found

    Hi all,

    I wonder if any body can help me with a problem. About 3 months ago i had the blue screen of death appear and since then i am having problems with my PC. I am running windows XP and every time i start up it says CFGMR32.dll was not found. Problems i am now having like printing etc come up with CFGMR32.dll not found. Firstly what is that? and secondly how can i get CFGMR32.dll back?

    This is the System configuration manager helper. It should live in C:\Windows\system32\dllcache. If you have hidden files and folders and system files showing you can navigate there and see if it is at home. Everything in the folder should be in alphabetical order. If it is there and you have a browse option in the error dialog box, you can point Windows to the file. My best guess is that it is missing-don't ask I don't know how. You will need your XP CD. In the "Run" box paste this: sfc /scannow Then <OK>
