Change Multiple icons

Hi

Its possible as custome icons are stored inside a new created file the folder in a desktop.ini file (these are not created unless you customise a folders icon), but you'd have to be very careful in deleting only the ones that are in the folders you wish to revert back.

Do a system restore point before doing this as while I can do this easily without messing up my PC, I'm not their infront of your PC to see what you're deleting.

First off you will have to unhide files and system files, goto any folder and click Organise > Folder and Search Options > View and tick Show All Hidden Files and Folder and untick Hide Protected Operating System Files

Then do a custom search and choose the drive or main folder these custom icons are in and type in the search box top right desktop.ini tick the Include non-indexed and hidden box and click search, the destop.ini's that have been changed generally have a modified date and will link to the location they are in... BUT Double Check.

Then hold CTRL key down and click all the ones you wish to remove, then right click one of the highlighted and choose Delete (2nd backup if anything is wong in what ones you deleted is they are in the BIN so can be recovered.

Then open the folders again and they should be back to normal.

If its actual files and not the folder icons then offhand I dont know a way to do this in bulk.
