Change of graphic card

Recently my nvidia geforce 8600GT graphic card hit the bucket and I changed into ASUS EAH4350 SILENT(LP). I have games such as Rainbow 6 vegas 2 and other 3D games. I am wondering whether I have actually downgraded and will not be able to play high end games like COD MW2? I'm using windows XP btw.

 

Yes, the 4350 is a big downgrade, and yes it is not up to spec for modern games.

You may just be able to get away with it, but the performance will be very low.

 

You'll probably need to enter the 'options' menus in your games and turn the settings down to 'low' and lower the in-game resolution to 800x600. Generally speaking, a decent gaming video card will run about $100 and up.... here's an NVidia 9600GT, which offers excellent performance for the price:
