Changed language registry setting, cant loginto XP Pro.

I changed hkey_local_machine\system\controlset001\control\nls\language, lines "default" and "installlanguage" from 0409 to 0804 (english to chinese)

you may ask why i did this, well it was to install WC3 frozen throne using a chinese cdkey ( depending on the language it must be used with the corresponding languages version ). i had been successful in the past with this, but now ive run into an unrecoverable spot.

i rebooted after changing the reg keys because they still werent working for installing the game, after i reboot i go to login, put in my password and hit enter, it quickly cycles through "loading personal settings" and all the other stuff it says before booting into windows, but it kicks me straight back to putting in my password as if it were wrong, but this isnt the issue as it would say incorrect password, it actually accepts the password then spits me back in less than a second. also even if i put in totally random letters and numbers for my password it does the exact same thing instead of saying "wrong password"

unfortunately i cant even get into safe mode as it has me attempt the same feat with the same exact results, im weary of using windows repair as usually windows will attempt suicide to repair itself, is there any sort of bootable media that i can repair my registry with, or someway i can bypass the windows login

p.s. i have tryed the ctrl + alt + del(x2) and putting Administrator which doesnt work, i tryed logging in with my account and it goes back to xp login screen and attempts then spits me back again...

again this is not an issue with forgetting my password or anything of that nature, it just is bugged out and i need to fix my registry somehow

just a little followup- note* i changed the registry language values back to what they were in the previously working windows 0409(english)

i used BartPE to access the computers registry files, i changed it so it would skip the login process and login automatically under the admin user. this worked but the next problem i arrived at was, windows would sit at "loading your personal settings..." for ever (all night) which is unnacceptable, safemode would do the same thing.

as i am not extremely patient with my computers i did a windows repair install so i could burn everything i wanted to save and reformatted. all i can attribute this to is a possible virus, as i restored the registry to its previous state but this didnt fix anything.

the hardrive while loading personal settings would do a repititious loading chug chug...chug chug... chug chug... over and over like it was in a loop.

since formatting everything is fine, the harddrive isnt damaged in anyway and im stumped.


this really makes me wanna become a linux user, as i am sooo tired of windows shooting itself in the foot constantly.

anything anyone would like to add to this would be appreciated as i am still at a loss to really what happened besides a possible virus.
