Changing details displayed in folders and subfolders

Am I being really stupid or is there no way of changing the details displayed and the column widths for a folder AND all of the subfolders it contains.

I know how to customize a folder and its subfolders using the right click properties / customize tab but this doesn't allow for the selection of the details displayed.

I now have a reasonable MP3 folder containing 150+ folders with further subfolders within them, e.g. Music folder then artist folder then albums of said artist folder. I would really like to be able to view the files in details mode and would like to be able to open each folder and have the same details displayed in all of them. What I don't want to do is to have to open each folder and change the details displayed and change the column widths.

I don't think there is way to do it but to open each sub folder and set it up.

There is a button under Tools>folder options>View that lets you set ALL folders to the current folders settings. But there is no button that I know of which will make it do it for only the sub folders.

If you move your mouse (within explorer) between HEADER and SIZE, you should see a ---> | <---- seperating the headers. Simply hover your mouse over this. Your mouse cursor should change to:

Simply click and drag to your hearts content!
