changing JComboBox with another JComboBox

Basically what I am trying to accomplish is have current index of a JComboBox determine the contents of a separate JComboBox so say I choose an item that is index one then it automatically changes the contents of the second JComboBox to something and it can be changed indefinitely

All help is much appreciated I will post what I have tomorrow hopefully as I need sleep before I get up for work in 5 hours or so.

It's about changing a JComboBox's contents without making a custom model class.

Also, http://docs.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/uiswing/components/combobox.html shows how to add an action listener for updating something from a JComboBox, as well as a note on custom models.

 

I found a way to do this via changing the model by using my own model, now to get the other parts running soon.
