If home is running OK then you should not have any issues. Pretty sure you will have to activate pro.

If you are not keeping '98 go for the NTFS file system. Safer & more easy going than FAT32.

    Get a hold of SP2 & create a slipstreamed cd of XP & SP2.

I would format your xp home drive then install pro on there. Put it NTFS format

i dont honestly see much of a reason to have home and pro dual booting. i say just backup everything put pro on and restore it to pro. it works better and has more functionality. i mean why bother having two xps on the same machine.

i,m not duel booting xp home and xp pro. i'm duel booting win98se and xp home,
i,m going to change from xp home to xp pro. i will still keep win98se due to the fact that i have some great games like doom duke nukem need for speed and a lot others that do not run well on xp so i will switch to xp pro ( BTW I'm running
with win98se on a maxtor 30gig and xp on a WD 80 gig 1gig celeron and 512 meg ram 128 mb nvida video card SB 5.1 sound and dial up)

how do i create a slipstreamed cd of XP & SP2?

Unless I missed something, most NEW xp pro cds have SP2 already built in. At least the ones we buy at work do.

On a side note, you said you had two drives. So, I assume you have win98 installed on one, and xp on another?

Yes, you will have to activate xp pro.

If you convert the xp hard drive with NTFS then you can't access that hard drive from the win98 box without some sort of driver. Sysinternals has a decent article on this: http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/NtfsWindows98.html
