Chasling, Big Thanks!!!!

My husband is notorious for getting creepy crawlies on his computer. Under no circumstances is he allowed to use mine!!! In times past I've been able to find fixes and get rid of his problems, but this time around was a major bear. All the typical malware scanning programs caused computer shut down in the middle of the scan. Ruh Roh.

I let him moan, bi*ch, and complain for the past two weeks, and watch while he fumbled around trying to fix the problem. I was trying to teach him a lesson. The trend is that he gets the virus, and I spend hours cleaning up his mess.

Remember this boys and girls. Don't visit less than desirable sites without some kind of condom (protection), or you might not like what you come back with. Better yet. Just don't visit those sites! Why take a chance. Also, you don't have to watch every blasted video any idiot on earth sends you! GAH! I hate malware codecs!

I digress.

After watching hubby fumble around for days on end, I finally took pity and got into the fray. I found Chasling's MALWARE REMOVAL GUIDE. This process was still very time consuming, but I followed every step to the T, found five trojans, and in the end, I think I got them all.

I'm just wondering if anyone has a fix for people who purposely visit sites they shouldn't, knowing they might pick up something nasty. Maybe I could use some mind meld trick, or the Force. I can hear Obi Wan now. "This is not the site you're looking for. Move along"
