First, let me say thanks to the minds behind the answers. This is the first time I have used the site to the best of my memory, which I might add is getting old and frail, and I believe most of my anger at malcontents that have nothing better to do has been alleviated.

If I am understanding the instructions correctly, there should be files attached to this post that came about from chaslang's post on what to do before you submit. The fact that the keyboard is responding more readily than it did before tells me that Mr. Chasling has his sh*t together and most of my problems may already be resolved.

First, I ran SupraAS and have attached the info below from the log as I understand it.

RootRepeal never would run. I waited 30 minutes twice, had to recognize that virtual memory was exhausted and do a hard reboot. Never could get it to run and no information available.

MGTools wrapped it up and now I can't find the zip file they tell me I should have. Whoops, there it is and attached.

Any insight into the dark world of what that herein might be telling you would be greatly appreciated. The system is running better but I would like to hear what the intellegencia might have to allow. I just work for a living.

Again, thanks to the site and the minds that make if work for all your time. For those that want to explore beyond the means of ones and zeros might I recommend The Creature from Jekyll Islandby GE Griffin, Death by Government by RJ Rummel and anything Charles Adams has written on Taxation. You youngsters are screwed if we don't stop this idiocy now. Then again, I'm 50, what the hell do I know.

I greatly appreciate the work of all that has gone into the site.

I am not seeing any malware issues in the logs you attached. However, you need to run ComboFix from your desktop, not from here:
    C:\Documents and Settings\Mike\My Documents\Downloads\MalwareFix\ComboFix.exe

    Please put it here:
    C:\Documents and Settings\Mike\Desktop\ComboFix.exe
Then run it again and do not mouseclick combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.

You also need twice the amount of RAM as you have:
    Total Physical Memory 512.00 MB
    Available Physical Memory 159.67 MB

    Attach the new C:\ComboFix.txt

You just moved it to here:
The log is clean, but it needs to be on your desktop for the following final cleanup to work:

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no real-time protection. They are useful as backup scanners. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /uninstall
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /u, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    6. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    7. If you are running Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning procedures in step 3 the READ ME for your Window version and see the instructions to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore ato create a new clean Restore Point.
    8. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

    Tim:

You are correct. All I did was drag the icon to the desktop. Should I go back, upload the software to the desktop and re-run it?

I think I'm probably good and did order another 512M for the unit.

Last, the unistall you note goes to the desktop which is not where I directed the initial installation. Evidently I screwed that part up in the instructions I read. Can I modify the line Desktopwith the correct path and have it uninstall correctly:

If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)

Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
    "%userprofile%\C:\Documents and Settings\Mike\My Documents\Downloads\MalwareFix\combofix" /uninstall

    Thanks again.

Yes, as long as the path is right! :)

    C:\Documents and Settings\Mike\My Documents\Downloads\MalwareFix\combofix" /uninstall

    without the %userprofile%
