I am having issues with my PC. At first I could not connect to the internet. We use Yahoo Mail and it would start to open the mail log in page and then the explorer banner at the top of the page would flash back to the Yahoo homepage banner and continue to alternate between those two pages. I rebooted several times and I was finally connected to the internet and followed the READ AND RUN MALWARE removal instructions here. Several malicious items were found by Counterspy, Bitdefender and Panda. I am somewhat of a PC novice so I was hoping someone could look at the various logs and help me. I am attaching the various logs (hopefully correctly). Will post other logs in next post.

Thanks for any help you can give! :)

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Please attach the requested log from CounterSpy so we can see what was detected and also so we can be sure it was fixed.

I do have to advise you right up front that your problem does not sound like malware.

Also uninstall the below as requested in step 0 of the READ ME:
    Viewpoint Manager (Remove Only)
    "DisplayName"="Viewpoint Media Player

Also do the below which was requested in step 6 of the READ ME.

Uninstall the below old versions of software:
    J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 10
    J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 9

Make sure you reboot after uninstalling the above!

After reboot, now install the current version of Sun Java from: Sun Java Runtime Environment

Is your copy of Spyware Doctor a paid version or a free trial version?

And now after reviewing the rest of your logs, it seems even more likely that you are not having malware issues. No major problems were found. But you do have a few things to delete if they are still present.

Delete the below files if found:
    c:\windows\inf\satmat.inf
    c:\windows\kwv2.dat
    c:\windows\satmat.ini
    C:\WINDOWS\INF\mmaker2.inf

Delete the below folder if found:
    C:\Program Files\Kazaa

Thanks for such a quick response! I deleted files that you listed with the exception of Kazza and got the new Java.
When I go to the uninstall it gives an error "Error Loading C:\WINDOWS\System32\cd_clint.dll specified module could not be found." Can I simply use explorer and manually delete all the files I find in the Kazaa folder? Also attached is the CounterSpy log. It would not run in SAFE mode so I had to do it in Normal Startup. Spyware Doctor is a paid for application.

Thanks again for all your help!
