As a parent of three girls I hope I am qualified to comment!!!??? Perhaps not. Anyhow reminds me of a story I heard many years ago. I shall put it delicately for those of a sensitive nature.

A couple in a relatively un-developed part of the World consulted their Doctor as to why they could not achieve a conception. He tested them over and over (and by the way Monsieur fish, no, unless the test was done the same day as the act of creation, there would not necessarily be any evidence of a lack of, shall we say, intimate intertwining.

Anyhow, back to the story, on and on these tests went, for a matter of years. The little fishes were perfectly healthy, and the little eggs were fine, and there were no blockages.

One day, in exasperation, the Doc asks them to describe how they executed the necessary manoeuvres. Well, they slowly, with the aid of diagrams, made him aware that the lady was employing her umbilical cord removal site.

I shall say no more, for fear of censorship!! Though I will add, no doubt this method was somewhat less than satiating for the lady concerned. It's possibly the only slightly good excuse for publications of a delicate nature that I can think of.

 

I've heard this story a few times, in a few iterations. My question is, how can the doctor pronounce the mother firtile without first noticing she's a virgin?

 

There are many other activities that can rupture the 'maidenhead' such as a fall during childhood, horseback riding, gymnastics, bike riding etc...also the degree of thickness plays into it as it varies from person to person. Added to that, is there is a 'maidenhead' to begin with?...some do not have them at all. Therefore, a Dr. doing an exam may see what appears to be a sexually active woman when in fact the opposite is true.
