I have one son of about 4 years and he is not a very good sleeper. I am just thinking that is a good bedding is necessary for a Child healthier sleep. My son like cartoon character would it help if i bought a bedding with carton character.

Do you keep the room really quiet?

I learned that some sort of light noise can help tremendously with a sleeping child. Something as quiet as the humming of a fan. My ex would turn on the alarm clock radio to a static station, with the volume very low. Worked wonders for nap time. ( for the kid, not me ;))

    Hi

Bedding could be the cause of bad sleep, too firm or soft a materess to the feel of the bedlinen could be the problem, but also look at his general habits 2hrs before bed, is he eating if so what... could be high sugar content, same with drinks.

Or tv. If they watch tv right before bed or play games on the computer...

Before spending money on bedding, I would do as Halo said, and look at just what he does and hour or two before bed.

Develop a repetitive bedtime routine if your child doesn't already have one.

Warm bath, milk (which is soporific) , calming kiddy song and a not-too- exciting story in bed. They soon get in to the routine and really look forward to it, knowing after it is sleep time.

I agree with other posters. Before bed you have to make sure your child is tired. Earlier in the day go out for a walk, play in the yard, ride bikes, or just run around the house (dance even). Do something tiring and fun... Then a warm bath, a story and bedtime will be more welcoming to your child than it might be right now.

White noise is also a great sleep aid. The low hum of any type of noise always works for my daughter, and for me. A fan running usually is what I prefer. They actually sell white noise machines now- that emit a noise similar to a fan without the cold blowing air.

Yes, I do work from home, I have a great job and it keeps me busy enough that I really dont get bored. Its comforting to be at home and I love being home with my daughter. Because I work from home it gave me the opportunity to homeschool my daughter and spend more time with her. Plus, its rewarding at the end of the week when I get my paycheck. I really dont miss working outside of the home at all because I have saved so much money by not having to pay for gas and not having to pay for the expensive wardrobe and daycare. My job really, has benefited my life 100% :)

Harmonsmith- I will be happy to hear of your results later!

WOW That does really sound good. Here in Ny they have strict rules about home schooling . Do they where you live? My boyfriends sister home schools and says that she has to submit tests and stuff, are the test difficult ? When I have children I will probably home school them . Have a good day.
