    Hey Guys--
I hope all is well and that I'm posting this in the right section. I've tried doing a search for this similar problem but haven't found anything relevant. About a week ago I moved to China for study reasons where I will be spending the next 11 months. I knew before coming YouTube and Facebook were blocked, but I wasn't aware that they had also blocked most big blogging software. I am now stuck cut from most of my contacts-- since I'm quite international I use Facebook to easily get in touch with people and I had given everyone on there my blogger.com address, which I can't get to.

I know many people know how to get by this, but it seems they already had any necessary programs installed before reaching China. I've tried going through IP-hiding sites such as hidemyass or secure-tunnel. I've found most of these sites themselves have been blocked. The only one that I've found works is secure-tunnel, but even in I can't click anything, I can only view the page of the URL that I put in. I have Vidalia but when I enable the Tor nothing works, in fact this is the screen which comes up when I try use it:

Would you guys have any suggestins on how to bypass this problem? It doesn't have to be a long term solution, just long enough so I can log into my blog or Facebook and update my contact information as well as get others' contacts information, it's hard being here I just want to hear a friendly voice!

I hope this doesn't classify as illegal so that you can't help me, it's so frustrating being cut off from my friends and I can't imagine doing so for the entire next year! Also thanks for all your help in the past, this site has always been great at helping me with a great variety of problems from removing virus to changing file formats as to be able to use them in different programs so I'm very appreciative.

    I hope everyone's doing well,
    Giulia

    Hi Giulia,

I really don't know how good or safe this might be but try to take a look at VpnAccounts dot com somehow.
It costs $15 per month for a shared USA VPN account. I've given the site a quick check with a few security sites and it seems ok.
