    :p
I spent most of yesterday afternoon at my ex's trying to assemble a bl**dy birdcage.
To all Dr. Who fans, it is about the size of the Tardis.
To all others, it is around 2 metres tall (6'6") and a bit less than 1 metre (40") square.

Bl**dy Chinese/English instructions were hopeless. No mention of the little triangular plates that are the basis for installing the wheels, to be able to move it around. Finally figured that out when we were constructing the roof and these appeared to be left over.

The roof, now that's another thing. 4 great triangular lumps of tin that go together like an Indian tepee, on top of this tall birdcage. What a disaster. Had to go back to the shop to see how they assembled the one on display. Even that took a bit more work when we got home.

There is a centre pole that hangs from the top of the tepee down into the centre of the cage, with 5 pieces of dowelling at various angles and heights for the birds to roost on.

Of course we left this to last when we had assembled all 4 sides.
    Lucky I've got long arms.

All in all, lots of swearing, mainly due to the abbreviated and unfathomable English (?) brief instructions, and dodgy diagrams.

Finally all the knicknacks, food receptacles, bells, swings, etc., were installed from the old (really small) cage.

Then we had to get the birds from one cage to the other. The lady bird went in without trouble, but the male !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :p

Enough said. Eventually we succeeded and all is "normal" again.
Birds were reluctant to move outside of the equivalent area of their old cage at first, but they eventually moved around to all dimensions of the cage.

It was easier to install XP, than build this cage. :D
