chkdisk /r

Whilst loading XP Windows Professional up came
system 32\drivers\ntfs.sym was corupt so put in disk to load from cd drive then did a chkdisk /r managed to check 50 % completed
976751968 Kilobytes total disk space
384115320 Kilobytes are available
4096 Bytes in each allocation unit
244187992 Total allocation units on disk
96028830 Allocation unit available on disk
Some parts are unfixable
So I loaded my computer from Hard drive and it works but un sure about the 50% not check
Any Advice please

My advice is to run any hard drive diagnostics that pertain to your machine.

Some more info about your system would be helpful.

Did you add or remove any programs before the last time you shut it down? Sometimes a poorly written program or just a glitch in a program's uninstall routine can cause some registry errors. If you haven't yet, try a system restore to a day before you had the problem occur (or a day before you made changes that may have caused the error). If you have never turned off that service, then you should have several restore points to fall back on. Worth a shot and can correct many software sins we mere mortals commit :-D

If that fails check under device manager and see if there are any yellow exclamation marks on any of your devices . . . if there isn't, then we know the system drivers are in good shape. If there are some exclamation marks, post which ones and they can be dealt with. After that, if you haven't yet, run a second full check disk on the hard drive. Set it to start on boot. It's possible your hard drive has a mechanical issue, but hopefully it is a straight software problem (registry corruption, etc.).

No exclaimation marks but tried to load cc cleaner not working but I had regsupreme professinal a load of error will come back when sorted

 

Trouble loading programs saying missing wtsap132.dll
Tried 2 re store point but did not work so have to try something else

 

If you previously tried system restore through windows, try it via Safe Mode. Boot the computer into safe mode and select "Safe mode with Command Prompt". The PC should boot to a Dos type screen. At the prompt, type C:\windows\system32\restore\rstrui.exe and press Enter. Wait till the system restore program starts; and it can take a while for it to start, depending on your system. I've seen it take between 5 - 10mins on a really slow system. Once it does start, pick a restore point before you had the problem start, and also before the last one you tried if there is one. I've had this method work many times where system restore had failed through Windows.

 

chkdsk can also be run from the Recovery Console.

Find the manufacturer of your hard drive and go to that manufacturer's web site.
There you can find a disk diagnostic tool, as caliban suggested.

If you need to get your hardware information, you can use one of these tools.

Did what you said went right back to june restore point but it just said it did not work ?
Went into safe mode and check with SuperAntiSpyware then Iobit Malware fighter no Threats

Went into Event view/system Dcom and rasman been comming up
In Schedule ..Atl.job ..command failed to start system can not find path

MjncCan not open speey on my computer a lot of things not openning

 

Also not getting Windows Updates will not load up just stops on screen and can not get it off till I restart the computer

 

Any ideas how to get wtsapi32.dll back on
