CHKDSK Problem

I have had a problem with System Tool, which I think has been vanquished, but I am left with one oe two problems.
When I start up my PC (Desktop XP Pro) it wants to go into CHKDSK; I have let it run through Files, which is now problem free, but it then sticks on 0% for Indexes and I have to power off and then decline CHKDSK.

After getting rid of System Tool, which I think was thanks to my manufacturers System Disk, I have run Malwarebytes, CCleaner and SuperAntiSpyware.

I have no other problems at the moment.... and am hoping

Don't be confused, as so many are, but CCleaner is NOT an anti-malware program.

There are however many very good FREE anti-malware programs starting with AVG 2011 FREE, one of the worlds best Anti-Virus programs. I mention that because you listed NO Anti-Virus program in your list.
That would be the very first program I'd install for you if your PC was in my shop.

I am running Avira after having problems transferring AVG to a new PC, but Avira has not stopped me getting System Tool twice in 3 months!
