Christopher Nolan Appreciation

I have to say that after seeing Batman TDK, I don't think Christopher Nolan has made a bad film. I think a lot of that is due to him and his brother, Jonathan, having the hands on duty of also creating the script. Nevertheless, this guy seems to just creat great great movies one after the other.

Agree? Disagree?

 

Agree 100%. TDK is the best film of the year by far, and quite possible the best film I've ever seen, period. I need to watch it again to be sure, but... wow. It just defies description. Nolan's brilliant.

 

His other films are very good too. The story in Memento I think was one of the best jobs I've ever seen. I still need to really sit down and watch it again, because it's so deep and there's a ton to be figured out that can be inferred by character's actions on screen not just from explicit dialogue. It's the sign of a good film IMO when things are inferred implicitly. One reason I don't like Michael bay...

 

I love The Prestige. Such a hot movie.
