    hi,

the Youtube tab always creates gap when I scroll down. Please find the attached image.

I also got the Trojan Gen virus, as you can see from attached note file which is generated by Norton Anti-virus after the full scan.

I am not sure if the virus is causing it, even if it is quarantined. I am also having slow typing issue, and sometimes it would type something else... I am 100% sure this is virus!!

please, any help? I re-downloaded and re-installed Chrome, it did not help at all.

    thanks in advance,

Google Chrome acting up when scrolling up/down, esp on Youtube

    Hello all,

My laptop has gotten strange issue with Google Chrome (maybe in IE as well, but I don't really use IE).

The image of its strange act is in this link
    http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?p=1887847#post1887847

Basically the Youtube tab at the top creates gap and gets spaced out, covers the view to watch the video..

I also believe my laptop's typing is sometimes strangely slow, causing it to mistype sometimes, but this doesn't always happen. (maybe hot room temperature caused CPU to slow down.. I am not really sure on this, and I don't really use my laptop in hot room anymore). This laptop is refurbished one and only couple of month old since I purchased, and haven't had any issues until recently.

So anyway.. I followed the whole procedure of Malware instruction, made sure to defogger prior to downloading, and whatnots.
The only thing though, when I downloaded it went to download folder which is under user name folder but not under the document setting folder. After downloading them, I did moved them to Desktop screen by "cut" and "Paste", except MGtools, which went directly under C:\

Hopefully I get this issue solved up. I also tried reinstalling Chrome in the past, that didn't help.

    Thank you in advance,

    Sincerely

Not seeing any malware at all. You may have to post about this in the software forum I'm afraid. Let's just do this:

http://imageshack.us/a/img841/7292/thisisujrt.gif Please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.
    • Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
    • Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista or Seven, right-mouse click it and select Run as Administrator.
    • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
    • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
    • On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
    • Attach JRT.txt to your next message.

Before I begin, should I turn off my Anti-Virus?
And if yes, should I just disable it, or completely turn it off? I don't think I can completely shut down, though, unless I am in safemode.

Running JRT with AV enabled is not a problem. ;) Or shouldn't be. Go ahead.

what about firewall and Malwarebyte? I am thinking about removing Malwarebyte it's taking lots of proccess in CPU memory lol.

No, let's not get distracted by non malware related topic. Let's also not worry about disabling protection software un necessarily. Leaving you open to goodness knows what.... just run JRT as is, Should be fine. ;)

    Hi there.

No, nothing of note to be found, just a bunch of empty folders.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. Renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it in step 4 of the READ & RUN ME.
    3. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    4. If running Vista, Win 7 or Win 8, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Now goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    6. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.

    7. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

Before I start, I remember restarting my laptop 3 to 4 times after each malware program (from RUN N ME) were installed. Did that somehow disable defrogger whenever I restarted?

Did you ever have Defogger installed?

sorry if I sounded like that.
Yes I had it installed since it is part of RUN N READ instruction.
What I meant was, does disabled defogger somehow comes back enabled if I restart the laptop? Because I restarted like 3 times after installing each software (MGT, hitman, etc..)

Sorry. Remind me then, what disk emulation software it is that you use, please.

I honestly don't know lol.. But I do know that Daemon Tool Lite(?) is famous emulation program, and I don't have that.

How about I just click "Re-Enable" button? I see both Disable and "Re-Enable" button available.

I did disable before, but it's just that, I never hit "disable" again when my laptop restarted during the RUN N Read proccess, and the instruction didn't really said to do so, so I hope this is no biggie.

If you don't know about any installed disk emulation software then you do not have to worry about re-enabling! :)

The Chrome issue is fixed, but I think it was caused by the mouse (Abyssus) which is quiet expensive mouse. I dumped that mouse away because its left button wouldn't work.

There was also Youtube update during the time, so I am not sure if this is what fixed the problem, or the mouse itself caused strange issue. I should have tried use the mouse on another computer, but I dumped it without any hesitation.. This is probably the worst possible mistake, but at least I used the mouse about 3-4 years so it wasn't a total waste I guess..

Thank you for your effort helping me, regardless.
