Hi I would just like to say thanks to this forum I had an issue with an error at shutdown "CL RC engine3 dummy window: QPservice.exe application error " "C:\Users\Pat\Documents\CL RC engine3 dummy window.jpg"
I have a HP and it uses quick play for playing dvds I uninstalled this, rebooted and reinstalled it. Problem solved. Thanks major geeks. I think you may need to look closer to the error message and try to uninstall whatever program is causing the issue. First make sure you have the disk with the program or download it from the net so that u can reinstall

I had this "CL RC Engine3 Dummy Winidow" (yes, that's "Winidow", not "Window") appear during shutdown yesterday for the first time on my XP Pro computer.

I do not have QPservice.exe on my computer, nor is mine a brand name like Dell or HP.

This is a several years old AMD Sempron machine assembled from off the shelf parts (ECS 760GX-M motherboard, Western Digital HD, 2 gig (maxed out for this board) Corsair RAM, using the onboard video & audio with a 3.5" floppy drive salvaged from an old machine, all in a generic beige case. In other words, this is an ordinary generic non-brandname machine.

After this "CL RC Engine3 Dummy Winidow" appeared, I rebooted and ran "Registry Mechanic" by PCTools. It found a few registry errors (don't remember what the errors were) which I let the program repair. After that, there were no more problems.

Again this is not an OEM version of the OS, but XP Pro which was installed from a Microsoft CD-ROM, now with Service Pack 3 installed and with all subsequent updates, patches and drivers.
