    Hello,

Can anyone tell me if CL2 ram will run properly in a CL3 board? Someone has told me that a CL2 256mb stick will only run at 128mb in a CL3 board, anyone know if this true?

I thought that the CL rating is just the number of clock cycles it takes, nothing to do with its capacity.

AFAIK, there is no 'board setting' that deals with CAS latency of the RAM. a CL2 stick will run CL2 by default and a CL3 stick will run CL3. I have never heard of Cas Latency limiting the amount of RAM, so by that aspect you are good.

However, if your motherboard chipset only recognizes 128MB sticks, then a 256MB stick will only be read as 128MB.
