clarification,please

    Running xp home on an hp. Google redirects and mouse locks up when changing user accounts and mcaffee security suite loads. Suspect a hijack.Ran READ & RUN ME FIRST. When CounterSpy gets to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\system\controlset001\control\class\{29AE0E04-08B8-4D2F-BFBE-83FBOEC73BB7}" it locks up. Tried twice.Should I skip CounterSpy,run AVG, or ?. Appreciate any advice

    Yes skip Counterspy and run AVG Antispy and see if that bypasses the lockup, but if not still continue on with the guide adn attach the logs you can get, as this will at least allow the malware guys to start the fix.
