    Hi,

I seem to have picked up Claro-search from somewhere (i think a Jessops download the G/F did...)

Anyway, tried a few things to get rid of it but no luck. Using Chrome, and whenever i go to load it up, Claro-search is the homepage it goes to. I've removed it from all the Chrome settings options - no luck.

Been through the generic 'malware removal guide' See attached logs.

    Any help would be great.

http://imageshack.us/a/img841/7292/thisisujrt.gif Please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.
    • Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
    • Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista or Seven, right-mouse click it and select Run as Administrator.
    • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
    • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
    • On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
    • Attach JRT.txt to your next message.

One more thing, for Chrome, it is recommended to remove the "claro-search.com" related items using this method.
While you have Google Chrome open, type this into the address bar and press ENTER: chrome://chrome/settings/
From here you should be able to remove any settings related to "Claro".

Tell me if you have any problems doing that.

    Hi,

Yeah i've tried that already. 1st time i checked settings there were a few things linked to 'claro'. I deleted then, and they havn't re-appeared but on loading chrome up, homepage is still 'claro'

Run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista or Win7, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). Then attach the new C:\MGLogs.zip.

Well, I am not finding it in any of your logs. My only suggestion at this point is to save your bookmarks and uninstall Chrome. Run CCleaner and then re-install.
