Cleaning Computer Of Preloaded Programs

I Have A Hp Computer. The Computer Came With The Operating System Preloaded. It Has Windows Me. Is There A Program Out There To Clean The Hard Drive Of The Junk Preloaded Programs. Example: Online Services, Hp Free Games Offers. Any Advice Will Be Appreciated. The Hard Drive Is Only 20gb So I Want All The Room I Can Get For My Files And Wanted Programs, Not The Advertising Stuff.

Simple way... no. What I do (if you have these CD's) is re-install the operating system, then add the drivers, and finally add any programs it came with you might want. I always do this with a new HP, Compaq, Dell, etc. because its too difficult to remove some programs like Norton's.

Otherwise, you should be able to remove what you want via add\remove programs. A program like CCleaner (if you dont use one already) can often save hundreds of megs of space as well:

Worth a look, sometimes the older machines store all the drivers on your hard drive. So, if you find a HP folder with the drivers, you can delete it and free some space as well. Since the drivers are all old by now, it is a huge waste of space.
