Cleaning up windows8

I have never work with windows 8 before, and I have a new gateway computer that needs to get cleaned up so it runs more efficiently. I would like to know if the same tools I have used to cleanup Windows 7. will still work with windows 8.

I'm thinking of making it a dual boot with Linux because windows 8's interface is so lame.
So far this computer was a waste of money, because nobody in the family wants to use it.

 

You can change it to be more Windows 7-esque with start 8 or classic shell.

That said, yes, those tools work. Or at least, ccleaner works.

 

I have found PC-Decrapifier, works well on windows 8.
