Which client would be best for a 64 bit Vista machine running an Intel E2200 Dual core CPU and 4GB RAM?
Have installed the x86, but doesn't seem right.

How long each day will you run it?
What kind of graphics card do you have? ATI/Nvidia model #?
What do you mean by not seeming right?

Well, if both your cores are not pinned to %100 then you probably grabbed the systray single core version. Check out the last one on this page and follow the guide, this should get you going CPU wise. Just check the heat after some 10 minutes. Make sure to uninstall any other CPU clients first.

[disclaimer]

I am by no means an expert on the operating system known as Windows Vista.

The knowledge and or understand comes from reading/researching via Scroogle (Google alternative, search engine)

[/disclaimer]

using search terms - The system cannot find the file specified - and GkWare Self-Extractor Module V2.10/zl

my conclusion at this point is,Vista uses UAC as a security layer so it seems the end user would have to right click any program downloaded, then selecting "run as administrator" from the drop down menu that appears also from the scant information I have read the SMP client software seems to be flagged by most anti-virus programs and needs to be allowed, so within your anti-virus program of choice this would need to be added in the Exceptions area to not be scanned.

also depending on the specs of your motherboard/bios this device may need updated including the operating system and all drivers to be up date.

plus from my experience updating nVidia drivers, first uninstall the installed driver via control panel which gives me the option to uninstall all nVidia drivers or just the graphics driver which I choose the latter, thereafter rebooting and then installing the updated nVidia graphics driver.
This has saved me much headaches and frustrations.

I had no intentions of being so long winded.

again I hope this helps and gives you and idea of what your options are.

Got the older version working on this 64 bit Vista machine.
Forgot about that "Run as Administrator" command that Vista has.
Working on project even as I post.
Thanks for all the responses.
