This is such an irritant but my computer clock is always wrong. Although it is set to auto sync I would always go and manually sync it and by the next day it is off again. I replaced the computer battery as that was suggested as a possible cause. That didn't help. Now the clock is still slow and when I go to try and sync it it tells me that an error occurred so it won't even manually sync. Once I got a message that said "....the peers stratum is less than the host's stratum...." I have no idea what that means. Any suggestions???

I am using a Microsoft Knowledge Base article here to help you out, if you want to see the whole article go here.

    1. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, and then click Command Prompt.

Then copy and paste the following commands into the Command Prompt window. One line at a time.

    Code:
    w32tm /config /syncfromflags:manual /manualpeerlist:132.163.4.101,132.163.4.102,132.163.4.103
    w32tm /config /update

If you are in the USA and follow Daylight Savings Time, make sure that the box "Automatically Adjust for Daylight Savings Time" is check or you will be off by an hour constantly.

Your computer will now since it's time periodically with the NIST time servers in Boulder Colorado.

You also need to be connected to the Internet for this to work.

Hope you solve your clock problem. :)

If not try Neutron 1.03 ZIP: 6K from
    http://keir.net/neutron.html :major

Very small, 6kb, very fast to use (a few seconds only needed), and hooks up with atomic clock for accurate time.

I use it occasionally to update to synchro my time, as my PC keeps pretty accurate time normally.
