    Hi Everyone

A little help or perhaps a lot im not sure. 2 weeks ago my computer reset itself while my daughter was trying to save the sims ..as in the cmos reset itself the computer crashed and then I got a black screen that told me to go and reset time and date info or load default. I loaded default. Anyway from then on the computer has been freezing constantly i get about 1/2 net time and then freeze reboot and its ok. 2 days ago the same thing happened again black screen wouldnt reboot for a while then i got this cmos warning again this time i went and reset the dates etc. Thinking that this would fix it all up errr nope same thing freezing all the time. I have no virus's that i know of on the pc and did extensive virus testing when this happened. I use symantec corporate edition, I also did a bit defender virus scan, and a few others and nothing came up. Any ideas??

Yep your normal run of the mill PC also has a Bios/CMOS battery on the motherboard, its one of those button type batteries normally,

looks this the above picture ( the big shinny gold looking bit ... altho they are silver thats a picture/flash issue ) , it may be in a different location on your motherboard, but should have an id type for you to purchase a new one.

I with all the other replies it's most likely the cmos battery is going bad on you.
