COA Number

    hi i have been asked by microsoft to provide my COA number becasue i am trying to get a replacement cd for xp pro which i have lost in the move microsoft tells me it is on the sticker which is with the cd can any one help it is an oem disk so they wont accept the product key

    Is this a brand name PC? If so, you should be able to find said sticker somewhere on the PC itself.

    If you bought an OEM copy from an online retailer and didn't save that code somewhere, you're probably SOL.

    If you have the OS in question installed on your PC (and you used the COA in question for activation), use this: http://majorgeeks.com/Magical_Jelly_Bean_Keyfinder_d2612.html

    It will locate the COA number from the registry of your PC, which you need for replacing the OS disk.

    Don't forget to write it down for safekeeping, so you dcon't need to go through this again.

    That makes sense.... For some reason I was thinking that he was trying to install it, making the jellybean impractical.
