    Help!

I downloaded a freeware program that after you installed it you could right click on a .mpg or a .avi and it would identify the Codec the video file was encrypted!

I lost it due to a system restore and tried to restore back to find out what the program was but it's gone!

I have tried since then to use Gspot.exe codec identify. But it does not identify the codecs like the other program did!

Does anyone know of the program I seek?

    I miss it! It RULED!

It always identified the video files codec!

    Thanks,

    Saltybull

Thanks for the reply! But I have Gspot.exe Not the program I am looking for! Gspot.exe is the one I have that does not identify alot of Codecs! The other one where you right click on the Media File then left click to Identify is the one I am looking for! It never missed a codec!

    Thanks anyways!

    hello..
my question inreference to gspot is how it is actually supposed to be used...
it downloads as .rar file and im not sure what that means...
there are no instructions included with this utility...
    thanks...

    rar is a compression format

    similar to zip

you need a program that can work with rar files

Winrar is the easiest to use IMO.
