Codec Problem plz help

    ive downloaded a film to my comp and it says that there is an error with the audio and i need codec "55" but microsoft dont have it. i have the picture bit but no sound what should i download to get some sound?

    How about to download K-lite full pack,and install it.Your problem about codecs will disapear for ever.

    i have read on some posts not to download packs r u sure it wont mess up any of my comp ?
    and im also using windows media player 11 will that effect it cos i read its 4 windows media player 9

    I have WMP 11,and k-lite full,and I never have a problem with WMP,when I play movie of any kind.But whenyou install k-lite use default install,and uncheck media player that come with k-lite,cos you wont need the player.

    Codecs

    i posted a thread yesterday about what to do about missing codec and was recommended to download k-lite but haven got a clue how to use it. can anyone explain what i have to because i have no audio on a movie i downloaded.

    K-lite is a great codec pack as Goran P mentions, but if your worried about it messing anything up then before you install it create a System Restore point if your using XP.

    All you need to do is to run the installer to K-Lite and it installs all the common used codecs automatically, nothing much you need to tweak or adjust.
