Hi I am new to this forum and am needing some assistance. I would GREATLY appreciate any help with a CODEC problem? I have audio files that I need for work and my most recent audio file will not play due to a CODEC error, (ADPCM 100). I cannot play it on Windows Media Player or my Express Scribe. I am a complete blonde when it comes to this stuff and would really, really appreciate someone helping me with this problem.

I thank you in advance for any assistance you could provide.

If you have a USB stick, you can download and install VLC portable on it.
VLC includes all the codecs so it plays almost anything.
I've used VLC portable on a windows 2000 and XP computer to play some files.

    1. Download this to your desktop
    2. Double click it and select the flash drive as the location for installation
    3. After it is installed, look in the stick and double click on VLCPortable.exe to launch. Click on file, find what you wish to play and it will play.
