The other day, I was having problems with EDow.exe. I went to a few websites and tried to figure out a way to rid my computer of the problem with EDow.exe. I ran "Hijackthis" and filtered it through a "Log Analysis." I deleted what it told me I should. For some reason though, I am now having a problem with the Color Quality found in the "Display Properties" for my computer. When I start my computer, it defaults to "Low (8 bit)," when it used to be "Highest (32 bit)." Plus, as I use the web, it periodically reverts back to "Low (8 bit)" after I have set it at "Highest (32 bit)." Can someone please tell me what seems to be wrong from my description? If more information is needed, please let me know. Thank you for your time.

Try reinstalling your video card drivers and DirectX.

Also, what is your operating system, your post is too vague?

Have you removed all signs of infection? If not, post in the Spyware Forum, they are best experienced for this.

I run a Dell Inspiron 8600 with Microsoft XP Home Edition. I will also post my problem in the spyware thread as well, thank you for your suggestion. Plus, How would I reinstall my videocard and DirectX if that ends up being the problem. I do believe that I have rid my computer of all infected files, because I have run Hijackthis a few times to make sure that the problems are no longer running on my computer. Again thank you for your reply.

As Insomniac said I would be first off installing my Display Drivers and DirectX...

Display Drivers.. depends on what graphic card you have installed as to which drivers you need, If you dont know which graphics card is installed in the PC then download this software EVEREST install it and click Computer > Summary and under Graphics Adapter it will tell you the manufacturer... then goto that manufacturer and download the latest driver for your card.

DirectX... either goto Windows Update and see if you have latest installed or go direct http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/default.aspx?url=/windows/directx/downloads/default.htm this will download a small installer that once run will downlaod the correct DX for your system.
