Colorado Secretary of State Sues Denver Clerk

Colorado's Secretary of State, Scott Gessler, has filed a lawsuit against Denver's Clerk and Recorder, Debra Johnson,
for mailing voter ballots to voters considered to be "inactive".

Gessler cautions Pueblo Co. clerk against mailing ballots to inactive voters

In a letter sent to Pueblo County Clerk and Recorder Gilbert Ortiz Friday evening, Secretary of State Scott Gessler warned
Ortiz clerk that if he mailed ballots to inactive voters, he would be named in a lawsuit.

Of Colorado's 64 counties, 60 are holding all-mail-ballot elections. Only Denver and Pueblo indicated they planned to send
ballots to inactive voters.
