Troubles with horizonral dash line in word 2007

In word I typed three *** and then hit enter to continue. This created a horizontal line of heavy/bold dashes across the page and I cannot remove them.
If I try deleting, I delete the last thing entered. If I try blocking it out and then deleting, nothing happens. If I hit enter it moves the line down but I can never remove it from the document. If I hit backspace it takes the line back to the last word or format entry before beginning to remove the file info and the line still remains.:cry

    Pease help me.

    I just tried this with Word 2003, so it might be different in 2007. I typed *** and pressed Enter, and did indeed get a bold line of dots . . . . . . . . . .
But there was also a lightning bolt on the left; click the lightning bolt and select "Undo Border Line" and that should do it. You can also choose to "Stop automatically creating border lines".
