I recently got a 250Gb SATA HDD, and when I formatted it and copied over my data it split the drive in half because I didn't have the SP I needed installed. Thus, I have two 127Gb partitions that I'd like to put together without having to wipe my drive and lose everything. Is it possible to combine this without spending a ton of money and losing data?

yes it's possible, the same as you i hate to spend money on prog which i would use only a couple of times, but unfortunately you can't do this without using 3d party progs. there are a lot of free one's, but i don't recomend any of them if you really value your data. I'd recomend to look at disk director suite from acronis, it has additional utilities which can be used more often for example os selector(boot manager) or recovery expert(can restore by accident deleted partitions, once it helped me when i deleted partition from disk management).
