First a answer a question, why are you running ComboFix? Are you trying to run the READ & RUN ME because you have malware problems? If so, then just continue on thru all steps in the READ & RUN ME.

Yes having registry editing disable will be an issue for many aspects of malware removal, not just for ComboFix. Is your user account an administrator account?

Yes I am trying to follow the read and run me because I have win Banker FS possibely other malware. It's a home computer it won't let me use regedit I am a little bit vague as to administer rights, but this computer has not been setup any differant to others I have which let me use this command. Is it possible that the malware has done something (altered settings for instance)to prevent the use of reg edit. Also may I ask when warnings about security, pop up during the running of the verious suggested programs do I shut them off or leave them

Yes! It happens all the time.

If you are referring to warnings about the programs we are asking you to run then you must allow them to run if you want to get your PC fixed.

I have just rebooted computer this evening and things seem to be pretty well fixed as of yet the red circle with white cross in task bar and the accompanying warning about win32 banker FS has not not poped up. But still can't use regedit says registry editing has been disabled by your administrator.I have not done this therefore I don't know how to undo it of course this is not so important now but I would like to know how I could re-enable it for future use.
Two further observations 1 The option to save report log in AVG anti-spyware could not be selected, although th other progs have logs.
2 After the run box when using MGtools poped up, the program stalled (after the registry edit disabled warning box appeared) I left things alone for the best part of an hour after which I closed the warning box wereupon the program imediatly resumed and finished.
Thank you very much for your assistance if you could give me some tips regarding the regedit prob that would be just great.:)

Running MGtools attemps to fix certain issues with registry editing being disabled. You need to try and complete the READ & RUN ME procedure as best as possible and attach the ComboFix and MGlogs.zip files that are requested. Don't worry about AVG Antispyware's log. Just make sure you have quarantine or deleted all the problems it has found. The default is often set to Ignore which is not what we want to do.
